FOTF Is Almost Here!!

The PTF’s annual outdoor fellowship & fundraising event is almost here! The place to be Friday night September 19th from 6:00pm to 8:30 pm is the soccer Field for.....Fun on the Field.

There will be bouncy inflatables for the kids and carnival-style games and prizes for all ages! A small charge of $5 per child (Family max of $15) will allow endless turns on the bounce houses.

Plan to picnic on the grounds with Chick-fil-A and Pizza available for your family’s "dining pleasure!” All proceeds from food sales will go to support the Junior and Senior classes!

Back by popular demand is our Silent Auction! You won’t believe the amazing selection of items--all donated by local businesses. Look for it under the pavilion where you’ll find incredible theme baskets and loads of items on which to bid. Check out the art, accessories, jewelry and huge variety of restaurant and store gift certificates! The principals have newly-completed wish lists for the school --- funds raised will be put to work on campus for all students’ benefit!

Don’t forget, bidding closes promptly at 7:30. Winners will be announced by 8:30!

2008 Fun on the Field (FOTF)

Perhaps you are new to Calvary Baptist Day School and have been hearing the “buzz” about FOTF and the Silent Auction, and you are wondering, just “What is Fun-on-the-Field?”

Fun-on-the-Field (also referred to as FOTF) is an annual, campus-wide fellowship event that is being held Friday night, September 19 from 6:00pm – 8:30pm on the campus athletic field. The event, sponsored by the school’s Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF), is a night of fun, food and fellowship for the entire Calvary Baptist Day School (CBDS) family.

There is something Fun on the Field for everyone! Kids enjoy activities such as inflatable games/rides, face painting, bean bag toss, putt-putt, and a cake walk, as well as impromptu soccer and tag! The Junior and Senior classes will be selling food (Pizza and Chick-Fil-A), with profits from sales going to help fund the Senior Class Costa Rica trip and the Junior Class Formal.

This is the 7th year for Fun-on-the-Field and it just keeps getting better. Back by Popular Demand...is our Silent Auction, which has become a big part of our event. This year’s Silent Auction proceeds will go to fund PTF expenditures for this year such as Teacher Appreciation Week in the spring and Teacher’s Classroom Enhancements. There will be many FUN things to bid on. If you want to help with our Silent Auction, email Jenny Edwards at cbdsptf@aol.com.

As you can imagine, the success of this event takes a great deal of volunteer effort. Parents of pre-K3 all the way up to the senior class will be helping to make Fun-on-the-Field 2008 the best one yet. It is so much fun to be involved, and the PTF could use your help. Fun-on-the-Field provides a great time of family fun and school fellowship, while helping to raise funds for our PTF Sponored events during the year. Any funds raised above and beyond our operating budget - will be used for one time school enhancement projects.
